Wooden Gates

We have just launched a new range of both Entrance and Side Gates with prices starting from €100 for a standard side gate.

Manufactured using traditional skills and utilising only the best raw materials these timber gates will add character to any business, home or farm. All wooden doors and gates are produced from a Finnish wood which is superior to native timbers. All timber used in our doors and gates is fully planed, sanded and pressure treated.

Wooden entrance gates have grown in popularity in recent times. Timber gates add distinction to the security and appearance of our homes. Connaught Timber have designed a core range of entrance gates but we also offer customers a unique service of designing their own timber gate to their specifications. Timber gates and doors can be made to match.

Gates are broken into two main categories - Domestic and Field gates (although many also choose farm style gates as entrance gates).

Domestic Wood Gates

Connaught Timber have designed a core range of domestic wooden entrance gates in standard sizes. In addition to our standard sizes and product range, we offer customers a unique service of designing their own timber gate to their own specifications. Side gates and doors can be made to match entrance gates.

Traditional Wood Farm Gates

Rural style wooden field gates are extremely popular with the farming community but are becoming more and more popular as domestic entrance gates. All traditional wooden farm gates are hardwearing and pressure treated. Connaught Timber have designed a core range of 6 classical country wood gates at very competitive prices.

Accessories

A large variety of wooden gate accessories are available to suit stone, brick, wood or block piers. Hinges, bolts, latches and throughover loops are all available in epoxy black or galvanised finish. All wooden gates are quoted inclusive of hinges and latches.

How to Measure 

When gate posts are in place, take the measurement from the inside of one post to the inside of the other. Measure the height of your piers/posts from the ground to underneath the capping (if any).

Protecting your Investment

A well maintained wooden gate will provide you with many years of trouble free service, the highest quality material should always be selected to ensure lasting strength and beauty. While all our  wooden gates are pressure treated we recommend the use of a high quality woodstain once the gate is erected. While transparent coatings protect from dust, grime and insects, woodstain is required to protect from UV rays.
